Parmenides’ First Attack on the Forms

Abstract This paper provides a case study for the use of syllogistic reconstructions in commentaries on Plato by fifth-century commentator Proclus. The discusses Proclus’ reconstruction argument about range Forms Plato’s Parmenides (130b–e).
